Turquoise Necklace

A little over a year ago, my friend Serra and I were at the gem faire. She was trying to find a turquoise ring, but never could find something she liked. She loves turquoise and I wanted to give her something. She doesn't have pierced ears, so I went with necklace. I love it! And it looks really good on her. I want to make something like that for me now.

Play Make-up

My sister-in-law found a tutorial for this fun play make-up and I knew my girls would love it! I made it for the girls for Easter.

I bought some brushes from WalMart and make-up bags from the dollar store. The girls seem to think the make-up is real, so that is great. They love to sit together and play with their make-up :)

Birthday Cake

I am in no way close to a good cake decorator, but I thought I would show you Kaitlyn's cake anyway. For someone who doesn't know what she is doing, I think it turned out cute. And Kaitlyn loved it, which is all that matters, right?

Curtain Revamp

Bad picture above, sorry. I tried to find a "before" of these, but I couldn't. When we moved here, I took a large curtain I had and cut it in half to make these two curtains--never knowing exactly where I would go. I then hung them up with a swag in the middle and then they hung partially down the length of the window on each side...and there they stayed for nearly 1.5 years (but, hey, 1.5 years when you have three kids isn't that long really).

I had different ideas, but never something I loved. I finally decided I wanted to finish off this room once and for all and also that I didn't want to spend any money to do so. I knew I could get inspiration if I put my mind and heart into it, and this is what I ended up with. I like it. Best of all--it was free!
